My why: I strive to change the world for the better, one life at a time.
I live by six maxims or values: have faith; invest in family; live with integrity; have the courage to lead; strive for excellence; pursue passion.
Here’s what my values mean to me:
Have Faith – – I have faith that I will be presented with opportunities to fulfill my purpose in life. It’s my job to take those opportunities and make the most of them.
Invest in Family — I once read an article that defined family as ‘anyone whom you allow access to your heart and mind.’ I’ve adopted that definition and I work very hard to build meaningful relationships with the individuals I’ve allowed access to my heart and mind.
Live with Integrity — Living with integrity means standing up for what I believe in, doing the right thing even when it’s hard, and pursuing my passion at all times.
Have the Courage to Lead — I believe purpose-driven leadership takes courage. It’s not easy to say no, and it’s not easy to make tough decisions. I challenge myself to have courage the courage to lead in all that I do.
Strive for Excellence — Excellence means striving to reach my potential in everything I do. Excellence is my version of success – it’s relentlessly pursuing purpose and fulfillment and doing it to the best of my ability.
Pursue Passion — My passion is helping individuals and organizations discover their purpose and take intentional action based on that purpose. It’s embedded in everything I do, and it is an important how to my ‘why.’
Do we share any values? Do you identify with any of my values? Or perhaps we have completely differing values? No matter what, if this page has inspired you to put a finger on your values, I would love to connect and learn more about the things that matter most to you in life!
